Word 2010 Word Count

Feb 08, 2012  · I am running MS Word 2010 in Windows 7. What am I doing wrong? I have two documents, 1 and 2. Their individual word counts are 1186 and 3875. When I copy them into a third document the total word count leaps to 5732 (whereas the total of 1186 and 3875 is 5061). What on earth is going on? Thanks for any help you can give!
